Slow Dynamics in Highly Turbulent FLows EuHIT Funded Project

We would like to analyze the slow behavior of turbulent flows in the SHREK configuration, so we can extend to Re=5 107 the observation of features already detected in the von Karman flow in Pamplona, Spain, up to Re=105. In order to do so, we would include velocity sensors that can achieve an acquisition rate around 200Hz, and with two component signed velocity. These measurements would be performed in the equatorial plane, at two different azimuthal positions (displaced 45 degres). The development of these sensors and their associated electronic will be [under supervision] of P. Roche, in the framework of EuHIT JRA [21] and JRA [23].
